Stathis Velivasakis is the IT Director of Affidea Greece, part of Affidea Group, the largest provider of primary healthcare services in Europe, operating in 15 countries.

He joined Affidea in 2007 as Head of Information Systems Development and, since January 2013, has served as IT Director. With over 30 years of experience in the IT sector, he has previously held senior leadership roles in several organizations.

His areas of expertise include Medical Informatics, Bioinformatics – Neuroinformatics, and Lean Management. As a member of the Affidea Group’s European IT team, he is responsible for the adoption, implementation, and standardization of the Group’s IT operational environment, driving digital transformation and business process optimization in alignment with the Group’s global IT strategy.

He has participated as a scientific researcher in Research and Technological Development programs in collaboration with the Foundation for Research and Technology – Hellas (FORTH), the University of Crete, and the Technical University of Crete, within Joint Venture projects in areas of national priority.

In addition, he collaborates with the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, the Ionian University, and the University of Lamia on research initiatives in the fields of Biomedical Informatics, Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare, and Digital Health Systems.
